The Franconia ArtWalk Association is an organization focused on developing art related attractions for people of all ages and abilities. Inspired by nature and the arts, the association promotes tourism and enhances the creative aspects of the Franconia Notch Region of the New Hampshire White Mountains. In September of 2018, a board of directors was formed and began planning the structure and operation of the association. The association was officially registered with the State of New Hampshire in February 2019 and obtained its IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit exemption in March of 2019. An important aspect of the association is that we will work with and assist other art related organizations from the surrounding area in promoting “The Arts”.
Although we plan to develop other attractions, the Board of Directors decided that our first project would be to develop an art walk in the Town of Franconia to be known as the “Franconia ArtWalk”. The ArtWalk’s mission is to promote tourism and encourage economic development in the Town of Franconia and surrounding communities by providing an outdoor art related venue consistent with our vision. The Franconia ArtWalk is an outdoor exhibition of sculptures, mosaics, murals, architecture, ceramics and gardens on seasonal display and will also include various art related events and art related attractions.
