This Hopscotch sculpture, built of steel is based on the age old game with Roman origins as a soldier’s strength and
coordination building exercise. It is fully realized when engaged with in a physical response. You can make up new rules or remember your childhood jumps, use individually or as a group.

This sculpture as an interactive outdoor experience conveying Zander’s thread of artistic conversation about spontaneity, joy, peace, and the potential power that literally jumping into life, being part of one’s environment, can bring. It is intended to enhance the experience of being outdoors in nature. It is a reminder to be fresh, open, to be childlike, to spark small joys.
